I have a question: since I got a 35C on the April ACT (35E, 36M, 32R, 36S), and I’m currently a sophomore, do you guys think I should take the ACT again this summer in order to aim for the perfect score? If so, what should I do in order to raise my reading score? I’m currently looking at colleges known for their strong math/science departments (MIT, Harvey Mudd, Ga Tech, etc.), but since I have a perfect score in math and science, I’m not sure that an increase in my reading score would help my chances any more. I wouldn’t want to put too much time into studying for the reading section, because I wouldn’t want to sacrifice time that I could spend pursuing other interests.
Thanks for your help,
mathguy101.
@mathguy101 I really don’t think you should take it again just to get 1 point higher. At such high scores, colleges see a minimal difference between a 35 and a 36. It would definitely be a waste of your time to study over the summer for the ACT. I recommend you devote your time into other interests, like maybe a summer internship or volunteering.
I just checked my score and got a 36!
36 English
36 math
36 science
34 reading
I feel blessed!
if scores come out on friday should your status say “tested” tommorow
Mine is still “registered”
Same here. I think hopefully tomorrow it will change since that seemed to be the case with the people who already got theres because I think their’s changed 1 day before.
My first ACT had no status changed when I got my scores (I didn’t get it on the first day for that test)
Still says “registered”.
Meh.
I’m pretty sure that you won’t get your scores tomorrow If it still says registered until tonight
Still says registered. Anyone whos status updated?
Any International taker from Pakistan who has got their score yet?
Nope…
Nope, mine still says registered.
Still “registered”.
Still “registered”. I doubt any new scores for international test takers are going to be released tomorrow.
True… This really sucks
We are not international and we are still registered.
Here is an exchange I had on Twitter with @ACT a few moments ago:
MY QUESTION: “@ACT if my son’s account still states “registered” as opposed to “tested” does that mean his scores will not be released this Friday?”
@ACT RESPONSE: “Thanks for your question! No. It will change to tested as soon as the scores come in.”
FYI, my son took the test in Texas with the Writing.
THANK YOU FOR THE INFO.
I’m in still registered. This sucks
My son is still registered too…wishing they would hurry it along
