Got my score back and received a 34 composite. However, I also received a 28 on my Science section even though I felt pretty good about that section. Is it worth it to have ACT hand grade the science again?
35! (36 E 35 R 34 S 33 M) The exact subscores as my February ACT when I got a 33 C, except I went up seven points in science… Very excited, as I feared my first (lopsided) ACT would have been my weakness for top schools if I had applied with that score.
@givemethtcheese I’d say probably not. The only time I’ve heard about hand scoring is for the essays, as the MC scanning machine very rarely makes a mistake like that, especially for one section alone. There was some speculation that the science curve would be strict (Reddit seems to think that -1 was a 34).
Anyone know when the question and answer info is available? (Showing you which questions you got right and wrong; paid extra for this) We got scores last night. Also curious if the answer key is on the website or mailed. Anyone know?
Got a 31! 35 E 30 M 31 R 28 S. Better than I expected but retaking.
Are there others who still don’t see their score yet?
We don’t see our scores yet. Still showing “registered” on ACT site. This is second test for DS, and last time results came out on first day right away.
Still no score yet
No score here.
Does that mean it won’t be available at all today?
I think I read somewhere on the act site that scores are usually uploaded on Wednesdays and Fridays. I would check back on Friday.
Exact same scenario for my son @84stag
Still registered here. Hopefully tomorrow we’ll have scores! I hate the wait, although it’s nothing next to the ridiculous month waiting for SAT scores.
ughh still registered here too, hopefully they’ll be out tomorrow!
I kind of feel like a failure. My scores fluctuated in each subject and I got the same composite score from the last test. To be honest with myself, my study habits were subpar. I also feel down and pressured knowing that June is likely my last chance to score a 30 if I want to apply ED and Early Action this fall to my top choice schools. I’ve been worrying and honestly don’t know what to do.
@xvibesx nearly all colleges who participate in ED/EA can still accept the September ACT, and some will accept the October one as well (they’ll receive your scores likely after you submit their application, but some schools don’t care).
@writergirl0316 are you the Upenn ed/kwh interested girl who posted a chance thread awhile back? congrats!
Yep, though I’m not sure if ED is feasible financially & so I am choosing between Penn ED and Yale SCEA. Thanks! @junior1818
Got my scores this morning, and I was just wondering if anyone else’s science scores were way lower than normal? I talked to a few people at my school and we had all felt it was one of the easier versions of the section and were wondering if the scaling may have been ridiculously hard bc people did well. Like I was getting consistent scores in science that would deviate by maybe one point and then on the April test I got 4 points lower than my lowest ever?
So will more scores be released tonight or tomorrow night?
