@rkepp12 good luck to you too! And don’t worry, I’ve had my fair share of lower scores too. I often make 24’s on practice reading tests an 26-28 science. honestly just a lucky day yesterday (or really didn’t do good, feel like did).

What did you guys put for the began/begun english question?

could you supply us with a little more information to the question so we can all jog our memory :)

yeah… @warrenfb9 a little bit more info please

surprisingly, i remember that one! i think i put “begun”
It was something like “he had begun to…” vs “he had began to…”

I think @megans113 is right. If the sentence starte out as he had… Then it has to be ‘begun’. “Had” is past tense so you have to keep it the same throughout the passage. “Began” is present tense (I think) so it would not work.@warrenfb9

on the last reading passage, was one of the last questions (37/38 i think) have an answer that started with o. I think it had to do with eyes, i don’t remember it very well but i was running out of time so I just circled it. There were 4 choices (obviously) and they were all one word answers.

I understand this isn’t a lot to go on but maybe one of you guys remembers something. ;)

Ohhh, I didn’t see this thread on this. This was my first ACT, so I don’t know what to say. All I had to compare it to was the stuff I was doing in PR books.

For me, the math was hard, the english was fairly easy, the science was not nearly as hard as I expected, the Reading was average-easy. I don’t really remember too much from the test but that math gave me trouble.

How long does it usually take for our scores to get back?

they told me 3-8 weeks. So hopefully it is more on the 3 week side. @Ctesiphon

I agree I do not want to wait that long… I don’t really get why we can’t just check them online for state acts

I know… We have to wait to have it mailed, which is probably part of why it takes so long! Why can’t they just send a scantron to each school so we can know that day, or atleast the next day!?!

Lots of ACT mumbo jumbo they have to go through.

Two weeks would be reasonable to be but of course it has to be 5-8 …

Sorry if this has already been asked, but how are we supposed to find out our scores? School will be out of session by the time they’re released, and since the school ordered them for us, it’s not like I’m registered online for it. Will they be mailed/emailed? I’m in Alabama, btw.

They are all mailed, as far as I know.

I made a slightly terrible discovery about getting scores: http://www.act.org/aap/dcst/actapril.html
That is the specific state testing website. It says that the makeup testing date was May 7, and since it is state testing I bet that no one will get score reports until the makeup scores are ready also. Hopefully I will be wrong about that. It also says that the scores will go to your online account 3-4 weeks after the test date though? I hope that is true because I am getting very impatient.

@elk1122 I’m getting very impatient as well…I think my mother’s tired of me obsessing over it! Haha :)

@mixedberrysaurus
I know my mom is! I talk about it all the time and she gets soooo mad! But I can’t help it. The anticipation is driving me up the wall!

Has anybody received their results yet? Is it about time for them to start coming in? It will be 3 weeks this Wednesday!

I just got them! Yes this is the State ACT from the 23rd, I live in Missouri

32 English
28 Math
35 Reading
29 Science

31 Composite

Not too bad for my first try. I was actually originally aiming for 31, and I was expecting a 31, but then UA-Huntsville lowered requirement for the full tuition scholarship so I only really needed a 30. But I wanted a 32 for the UA main campus. Need to review the math and science

@Ctesiphon
Congrats! Did you take it with or without writing? Also, any idea on curve?
