April 30th and still no IDEA!!! help please!!!

Got accepted to Johns Hopkins University, New York University, and Boston College... I am actually equally torn between all three.

Cost will be about the same at each, so that doesn't help me make up my mind!!! i intend on majoring in history with a minor in business or economics... or majoring in business. I want to go to graduate school to do business eventually. Thanks for all your help!!!

all great schools, jhu is the highest ranked and prob has the most prestige (unless you got into stern) but i hear its very cut throat.

BC is best socially (imo), has a ton of school spirit, located right outside boston, great academics too.

nyu right in city, no football team, not a rah rah school...

BC and NYU are very different in many respects, same with JHU.. tell me more about youself and mabye I could be more of a help

what do you want to know? anyhelp at this stage is much apperciated!!! I go to school in Ireland, but am an american citizen.... boarding school.... play rugby at a Varsity level in Ireland... what else do you need to know? ^_^

Jhu 111110

I would probably go to NYU in your situation but its totally a matter of personal preference. I visited all three schools while deciding where to apply...BC is suburban, NYU is very urban, and JHU is slightly different...it has a real campus but its far more integrated with Bmore than BC is with Boston. Which of those concepts most appeals to you? They're all great schools.

If it's Stern, then I would go with NYU. If it isn't Stern, then I'd probably pick JHU.

considdering your intended major/minor, i would choose NYU

If you major in business I would pick between NYU and BC...the schools are almost polar opposites, so go with the fit. I don't know anyone who visited both NYU and BC and still had trouble deciding...

If it's stern go to NYU, if it's not stern go to BC

Hopkins History department is great. Hopkins econ is good too, for a minor.

waht kind of person are you? do you want a campus, sports? did you already get into stern or CSOM (for BC), if not its very difficult to transfer into CSOM and even harder to get into stern. so you want more traditional college life or do you want the city to be home.

me, i would pick BC. i made that decision last december when after i got into BC i decided not to apply to NYU anymore. it had been my dream school for years but i decided i wanted to the traditional college life more. sports, contained campus, a community, stuff like that. NYC is still my favorite city in the world and i have the rest of my life to live and work around there. be aware with NYU that the city IS your campus and it has a very different social scene than BC.

not too sure about hopkins. my friend went there for a sumer program and wasnt a huge fan. i hear the social life leaves alot to be desired. and IMO ny and boston are wayyyyy better than baltimore.

oh wow i posted this hours later. if you want to continue rugby come to BC!!! its REALLY big here. well at least bigger than i ever expected rugby to be in america. theres no varisty team but the club team is really intense and everything. there, another reason to come to bc =)

Being undecided to me is a sign that you should select BC. The other two appeal to more of a niche market. BC is a quality school and offers more of the traditional college experience. If you belonged at the other two, you would know it and would not be so undecided.
