April 4 ACT -------- Science

…you didn’t answer them at all?
you at least put random bubbles right?

I skipped the Scientist’s opinion section to the end,but you shouldn’t have skipped the weights section, that was actually one of the easiest

Are you guys sure the control was L4? I was almost positive that it was L1…

yeah it’s L4… :frowning: I put L3 I forgot what a controlled group was :frowning: x 99^999999999999 + 1

Yes, I filled in the bubbles. Thank God.

It was definitely L4. You should of been suspicious when they asked you because it’s usually the first.

i hate how this test is based more on the little things scribbled above the charts and graphs instead of the questions ABOUT the graph.

L3 wasn’t even one of the options was it?
weren’t the options L2 or L4?

For the one with octane w/ the analyzing graph, did you guys say “over 126” or something like that?

Arent we all cheating, and subject to having our scroes destroyed by discussing the test afterwards

haha

i too am almost positive it was L1, that one had the most similarities throughout all of them

it was L4
a control isn’t what is similar with all of them; it is a baseline in which every other test can be compared to in order to make accurate conclusions

jhustine, i remember thinking that but if you saw, L2 also had similarities throughout all of them.i think if you read the text it said that that trait (i dont remember the letters.it was a bunch of alleles though) was added to L1, L2, and L3, but not L4.

For the question where it asked what Scientist 2 would determine the 76 year comet to be, did you guys say “short-term” or whatever the word was (b/c Scientist 2 said something like under 200 yrs.)?

collegeman7
hahaha i was thinking that too. but

  1. they dont ask you to put in your name when registering for these accounts and,
  2. its not like we’re putting up the answers for people who are taking the same exam later
(unless others have religious reasons that prohibits testing on saturdays- but then again people like orthodox jews or other similar religious restrictions cant even use the internet on saturdays so they wont be seeing it)
    oh well

it is def a different test tomorrow

Did anyone else struggle w/ a few of the Octane problems? I can’t remember what they were, but I made up stuff for 2 of them. :(

I’m kind of nervous about the science section because I barely finished on time – I was really rushed. I already know I missed one so hopefully I didn’t make any other stupid mistakes …

Oh yeah…there was this problem about what was being measured with the H2 gas…did you guys way using H20 to predict production of Aluminum something?

ya all you had to do was look at the formula they gave you

It was something like aluminum to aluminum hydroxide. Whichever had reactants -> products.
