Second Time taking it! (Junior Year)

C 28 (+7)
E 33 (+8)
M 24 (+5)
R 32 (+11)
S 23 (+7)
Essay 8 (+2)

I need to get my science and math up as well as my essay. But as for reading and English, I am thrilled!

^ Is the 7 point improvement legit? If so, congrats!

How did you work on your reading?

son was disappointed with his. Reading sunk him. Will retake in the fall.

It’s weird, because I got my composite score this morning, and I could’ve sworn it said the writing wouldn’t be up for another week at least, but then it was up when I logged on this afternoon. I am a junior, and I will most definitely not take this again. :)

English-35
Math-35
Reading-36
Science-34
Composite-35
Combined English/Writing-31

(By the way, I’m really sorry if it seems like I’m bragging, but CC kept bugging me to post something because I haven’t been on in a while)

That’s great Wondering88 :)

ASDKHFJAJSDKFG;ADKL I stole a friend’s iPhone and found out during track! <3

English: 36
Math: 35
Reading: 36
Science: 36

Composite: 36

First time taking, had four tutoring sessions beforehand (they usually do 8 but I was planning on doing SAT afterward - guess I don’t have to now!). Took SAT in December after self-studying, only got 2130… guess the ACT is truly my test! :D

received 29 :frowning:
is dat good for johns hopkins ED?

Ehh, it’s definitely on the lower end for a school like John Hopkins, even if you apply ED.
How’s the rest of your app looking? Good gpa? Rigorous schedule? Focused extracurriculars with leadership positions? Class rank?

Anyone from MA received the score???

^Just Smile: Rank:1%, GPA:4.0 Have some EC with leadership positions, many awards from contests (math, science and music) and internship at a famous neuroscientist’s lab during the summer

Composite 31
English 29
Mathematics 30
Reading 32
Science 34
Writing 10

Should I take it again and aim higher? I’m aiming ivy league and I know this is the median 50% of the scores sent to Dartmouth (my reach) so I’m not sure

YES!!! All freaking done with stupid ACT/SATs!!! Two months of cramming definitely helped!!!

Composite: 34
English: 33
Math: 34
Reading: 33
Science: 36!!!

I was SOOO pumped about the Science when I saw it! Lol, first practice test for Science, I got a 22!!! That practice test was also a 28 composite (about ten months ago), so you can really improve with practice. Anyhow, all done with ACTs. Now it’s just APs and SATs, and that’s it for testing.

Note, this is up from 68th percentile on the SSATs from back when I was in eighth grade applying to schools. Pretty darn big improvement to 99th!!!

I am just so excited and glad to be done with ACTs.

My daughter took the ACT in April and her scores are not posted. All her friends have received their scores and her status still says registered. I’m a little concerned. Anyone else in this same situation?

Many are still “registered” New Scores come out periodically every Wednesday and Friday. So you never know when you’re going to get them.

HELP! How do I see my score?

I did a lot better than I expected.

English: 36
Math: 36
Reading: 36
Science: 36

Composite: 36

EDIT: I forgot to ask one thing - how important is the writing, really? I definitely did not score a 12, more likely an 7-10 (so 30-33ish English/Writing composite, I can’t remember off the top of my head) and so I would like to know how important that really is in the grand scheme of things. Any thoughts?

Writing will only +/-2 points from your writing. It’s on the site somewhere but I forgot

I agree with CPU^^^, it will affect your English/Writing score by bringing it about 2 points down from your original English score, but it does not affect your composite.

Also…

30 Composite
33 English
30 Reading
30 Math
27 Science

Should I retake in June (the weekend after SAT IIs) or wait until September?? This was my first time and I’m currently a junior.

comp: 33

writing: 36
math: 35
reading: 31
science: 28

reading and science…
