April ACT Curve Predictions

What do you think the curves will be?

hmmm hopefully pretty good…

My opinion:
WHen i took it in february i got a 34 in math but it seemed so much easier than today’s…
so i say

-1 36
-2 35
-3 35
-4 34
-5 34
-6 33
-7 32

that’s my opinion on math

I think the curve on Reading will be very small

how much would 6 wrong on english be

How much would 9 wrong and math and also on science be?

How many would 20 wrong on the science be?

haha

i don’t think the math curve will be that big, it wasn’t very hard; i really hope science has a larger curve

Math was hard.

lol thats ironic that your name is mathlord but you think math was hard

i guess it was because math is one of my best subjects.

how do you guys think the math was today as opposed to february?

Math and Science were harder than most tests.

Reading and English were easier.

Beyond that I doubt we are are going to be able to predict an accurate curve for anything.

I thought the science was difficult, but I don’t have a point of comparison.

I’m not that good at math, I just put the first thing that came to my head.

Mathlord, your name really is a misnomer.lol

Ive taken it 3 times, I thought todays test was more challenging than the previous two which I took in the Fall

I’m not sure how the ACT curve works, but if it’s based on all of the scores collectively then it should be pretty generous.

I say this just because of the time of year it is. Your typical “Ivy Leagues” have already gotten the scores they needed to apply to school so they were not there testing today. My classroom was filled with Juniors taking for their first time and Community College bound seniors.

I thought both the reading and english were fairly easy. Math was easy for the most part, around 15 difficult problems. Science however was very difficult in my opinion. I’ve been studying with the Princeton Review book and neither science test provided in it were near as difficult’s as today. However, my writing prompt was a subject we are all familar with so that was easy to formulate.

Science was pretty much interpreting the graphs.

i HATE the science section
with a passion
science is my best subject in school, i got an A+ in bio, A- in chem, am currently enrolled in ap chem where i will most likely get a 4, and will take ap bio next fall

the science section on the act is junk. no application of acquired knowledge like youd expect- too many graphs that really dont work for people who have trouble with visuals. its like a bad combo of math and reading. it really is.
not to mention there is not enough time for it. 40 mins for 40 question that require understanding what they’re talking about, interpreting data, and making conclusions and then reading and selecting and bubbling in the choices?? no. they need to add like 10 more mins to that
