The first time I took the ACT I got a 29:
English:31
Math:29
Reading:31
Science:26

I have big plans in life(Pre-Med) and I don't want this stupid test to prevent me from going to a real college. (Northwestern is worst case scenario for me)

I am very busy with classes and ECs almost every night so I don't have time for a prep class. How can I improve my score quickly?

lol northwestern is unrealistic for you right now

He’s got 1 post and northwestern is his safety…■■■■■? And if you are serious (I really hope you are not) I would lower your expectations and take practice tests.

But that was only his first time taking the ACT and i am sure, with much prep, he can bring you score up to northwesterns range. brosfam and lookingforwhat are talking like he got 27 or below.

thanks innocenttaku.
I have a 3.8 and great EC and recs. Both parents and one sibling are NU grads, so I’m pretty sure i’m in. My main concern is hitting top schools. I can improve on science, I do ok on the practice but I just was time pressured during the test.

First of all, you do NOT need higher scores to get in… some people don’t realize that colleges (especially those top ivy’s) are paying more attention to the diversity aspect than your scores. They want to know what you can bring to the school. Yea its good to get someone with a perfect score but its better to get someone that has a lower score but has so much more to offer to the school.

^^^ usually that doesn’t happen.
