April NU Visit

What should I be on the lookout for? What should I be asking? Does anyone know what the typical schedule is?

For admitted students or just a visit?

I believe its for admitted students.

It's just a visit. I am a junior in high school right now.

Northwestern students are back in school in April, so any time in April is nice. May I suggest one of the tours provided by the school? They take you around and show you some nice things.

One thing to note though is to stay away from Wildcat Days (Sneak preview for Admitted Students). This generally is roughly the end of April.

The April event is for newly-admitted students. I attended the April event years ago when I was accepted.

when are the wildcat days?

Yeah, does anyone know when in April the admitted student days would be?

Call and ask, but I believe they may have 3 weekends for it. I'd aim for the first week in May for a visit, you want to avoid wildcat days.

What is wrong with wildcat days? I just wanna know?

Nothing wrong with Wildcat Days. Although as a prospective student, you're gonna want to stay away from those days due to the massive influx of admitted students coming in to visit. I don't believe tours are given on those days, but I could be wrong. Not to mention parking can be hassling on those busy days.

Just book a local hotel in the area (Best Western, Hilton, Hotel Orrington) and walk over to the campus on admitted days. It's really not that big of a hassle. Make sure you make a reservation now.

I'm still waiting for my decision, along with a bajillion other people, I think. However, I'm making plans to visit Chicago in April, and I was wondering about the Wildcat days. Does anyone know what kind of schedule there is for that? Is it on a Saturday? That would seem odd considering the typical admissions workweek, but would be ideal for me. It's looking like right now we'll be flying in Wednesday night, but I am completely booked Thursday and Friday. I'll need to head back home Saturday night at the latest.
