math was harder than usual, english easier, reading ok a little easier, and science harder.
I think you can access them using the claim code the school has
English felt normal, math was harder, reader was normal, science was harder. You needed quite a bit of background information for the science.
English and Reading were definitely the easiest sections. Math was suprisingly hard( I’m taking math 110-College Algebra) and science was a lil difficult. Writing prompt was eh. I hope I did well. I took a practice test 2 weeks ago (got a 28) and since then did a little studying, so I hope I got at least a C29 or 30
@Oph how do I use my school’s claim code? On the ACT score page it shows my February scores but nothing else and I don’t see anything else that looks helpful.
@mathew234 on the left side of the page there is a place to click on called state madated testing. It then asks for the claim code. Anyone know how to get the claim code?
@czebos Ah I found it, thanks! But yeah lol I don’t know how to get the code
The code should be given to you by the school. Check with your counselor.
I think I went hard on this one. I was extra motivated because I was supposed to test lat week but my parents and I completely forgot lol. There was one easy ( I hope) general science knowledge question on my test that had to do with plant cells. I used my one year of bio and put a safe answer because I think they want very basic knowledge but in a wide range of subjects. It’s really annoying when they ask about things not in the graph or text.
Well, I had high hopes. I never really got in the “mode” or got focused. English was not as bad as I thought April was, but I don’t think I made in the 33-35 range like I really want. Hopefully at least 31-33. In math I’m coming off a pretty strong 29 from April 9, but I guessed on 14 lol. I think I’ll be in good shape to get 26 or so. I say this every time, but I feel strong about reading. I loved the humanities passage, and the narrative wasn’t awful either. From all the practice tests, I feel like I’ve read so many different variations of what was in the social sciences passages today. Passage B in the dual passage wasn’t bad, but Passage A was awful lol. Science wasn’t awful except the 6-8 questions requiring science knowledge. The conflicting viewpoints passage seemed to compare the scientists’ hypotheses to the actual facts which I did not know lol. Hoping for a nice curve there. I loved the essay topic!
These are my expectations:
31E
27M
30R
28S
REALLY hope I can somehow squeak off a 30+. I hope the scores come sooner rather than later.
How were your April 9 scores? And I agree! I totally hope for a nice science curve @jwn9917
@czebos 29C with 29 in all sections except reading (27). It’s my highest composite and score in every section except English. Overall I’m pleased, but I know I can do better! I did not check before this test, which makes me so happy now. Thanks for asking!
That’s still really good man! But I’m sure you’ll do better eventually. No probelem. ACT scores are always fun to talk about. @jwn9917
Any word on when the scores should come in?
@cg2916 I think our schools mail them to us. Which means it will take way longer. I know some people have mentioned getting it online and entering a code but my school doesn’t seem to have this code lol, not sure about yours.
@Matthew234 Talked to counselor. 3-8 weeks. Usually come out by May 15ish online, to early June. I don’t think you need a code unless your details like name, address, and school are different on your online account than the ones you put on your registration form for the school test.
@Polyglot That’s great to hear! I’m going to double check with my counselor tomorrow, if they show up online without needing any code I’ll be very happy!
All my school friends said il have to wait for the mail. Aww I wanted to see my score early
@czebos I couldn’t have said it better myself
@polyglotCode What if I currently don’t have an ACT account?
I’m with everyone else. I don’t want to wait a month+ lol.
