APs and how colleges would look at mine

ok, so I am taking AP Physics C, AP Cal AB, and AP World as a junior. I'm not taking like 4 or 5 like other kids at my school because I also have independent research and it is fairly good research.

Anyway, would it look good for colleges if I took the Physics E&M test if my class will only get through the mechanics part? Also, is it a big deal if I take the Cal BC test?

Would colleges look upon that as a good accomplishment (pending if I do well, of course) or is it very common, so it will just be passed off?

Bump..........

I've been told that one should generally take AP tests if you take the class. But, can't comment on the Physics E&M since I'm not familiar with it.

BUMP please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A bad physics E score will hurt you. If your class only covers M, make a little note on your application or something. Like in my school (for whatever reason), the honors biology classes are molecular-based, whereas the college prep biology classes are ecological-based, which is why everyone in honors takes the Biology M SAT II.

And AP's are pretty common unless you're self studying.

I know APs are common, I just wanted to know if it would be a big deal if I took E&M even though our class doesn't cover it and if I take BC even though I'm in AB.

I just wanted to know if it is common and whether colleges will look at it as a good accomplishment (?)

BUMP for more comments please!!!!!!!!!!

BUMP........................again

I'm still bumping.................

AP Physics C requires some pretty advanced Caluculus. It went way beyond what I learned in Calc B/C. Realistically, even the best high school math students have trouble completing both kinematics and E/M in one year.
