I have taken three AP Exams (Chemistry, Environmental Science, English) and gotten a 5 on all three. I plan to apply to Harvard, who requires three SAT II Subject Test scores, so I took subject tests in Chemistry, Literature, and Math II.

I received a 750 in Chemistry, 700 in Literature, and 630 in Math.

I will not be able to re-take the subject tests, so these will be the three that I send to Harvard.

Is it a good idea to put any or all of these scores on my Common Application for the other schools that I am applying to to see (Vanderbilt, Yale, Furman), or does a 700 on a Literature subject test negate my 5 on the English AP Exam? Do you think I should possibly put just my Chemistry score on the Common App, or just English and Chemistry, but still send all three scores to Harvard? I really am not sure how AP exam scores compare to subject test scores, and don't know how good my SAT II scores are.

I don’t think a 700 in Literature is at all a bad score, especially with a 5 on the AP to substantiate it. And if you’re not planning to do much with math, then neither is the lower score on Math ii.

and go Furman! I had two sisters go there who absolutely loved it.

Thanks! That is good to hear. Do you not think that reporting a 630 in Math II on the CA would do me more harm than good, besides H which I will inevitably send the SAT II scores to? I plan to submit my ACT (32) score on my CA, and not even submit my SAT I score (2010). Therefore, I could theoretically send the full score reports to Harvard and Yale, but only my chemistry and English to Vandy and Furman (they have score choice)

Though I am not planning on going into a math-related field, do you think the submittance of a 630 on the Math II test could dampen even slightly my chances at these selective schools?

Furman is a great place to be! I stayed there overnight with one of my friends and absolutely loved it!
