APs

Can you take too many?

Yeah, I remember there was one member that finished like 30 in high school

I was only plannign on taking like 20-25 but there are 37 in all, but my point is, would it make me look like somebody who is just trynig to get a slew of AP's to look good and would that discredit me?

I mean i'm in 9th grade now and this is what I was planning.

9th grade - none
summer - micro and macro eco
10th - AB calc, Stat, Physics B, Chem, and Eng lit and Compare
summer - gov and poly US, gov and poly comp
11th - German lang and BC calc, World Hist
summer - Euro and US hist
12th- bio, envio sci, Physics C, and Human Geo

really I can't see anyone getting through all 37 AP courses/tests. even 20 seems like overkill to me.

At my high school you can't take APs until junior year and the kids at the top of the class only take 2-3 APs junior year and then 4-5 APs senior year... and we send lots of kids to top colleges.

Well some of those courses are mandatory because I go to this new early college type school.

why would you take BOTH Calc AB and BC, when Calc BC IS Calc AB+extra???

There seems to be a lot of people who don't understand this concept.

When you take the BC exam, you get an AB score as well, meaning you shouldn't go through the trouble of taking an exam twice.

OH YES!! You can take way too many! If you take more than 6 a year, colleges will just not accept you. I mean seriously. If you're actually interested in the subjects, your school offers them, and you think you can handle the load, go for it.

By the way, not like it matters, but, this question has been asked (quite seriously) one bajillion times.
