So this was my FIRST AP test, ugh APUSH, and truthfully I freaked on the test. I just froze on the MC, I was doing well until I hit one that I had no idea what it was then I felt stupid for the rest of the test. For FR I did 3 & 4, they seemed okay. & the DBQ was actuaally pretty easy, after reading the document I began to remember some lectures my teacher went through.

I left school after the exam, my mom & I were driving down the road, she asked how I did & I bursted into tears (literally), I don't handle failure too well, but I know I bombed the MC!!

I feel the same way. I crammed last night...not a good idea. Same thing happened to me. I plan on retaking the test next year if I didnt do so hot. Naturally, I didnt prepare for an extended period of time. My teacher was good, but I didnt put enough effort in myself. Oh well...I did 3/4 too. My 3 was a disaster area (only wrote one page that was utter crap) and 4 was decent. My DBQ rocked as we did one just like it in class, granted at the begining of the year. We will be fine however. Relax, prepare for your other tests, and we will both forget about our disastrous MC.

The multiple choice was tough...more so than the 2001 exam. Some of the questions were really obscure. I answered 53 I knew for sure and left the rest blank because I had no clue on them. lmao

The writing section was really easy, especially the DBQ. I wrote 4 pages on the DBQ alone and 2 pages each for the FRQs and still had 45 minutes of time to waste. I finished really early on that section.

You guys thought the the MC was difficult? For all this talk I heard claiming the test was going to be extremely, I thought it was suspiciously easy, like i was taking some practice test. The DBQ wasn't too hard for me, the other free respoces that I chose (3 and 5) were pretty easy. Does anybody else think the MC was incredibly easy? For me last year's world history exam was way harder than this test.

Well, the multiple choice involved alot of questions about books and one or two on paintings or architecture or something. I dunno, it was just really weird.

ALOT on books? That's not true, and this isnt even violating anything: book questions are not common on ANY US exam.

I don't have a reference point though, since my teacher never gave us released exams to study from (I still aced it so it's all good, but my teacher utterly PHAILS lol)

Exactly...all the stupid stuff that no one ever studies...I don't think there was more than a handful of M/C on actual US History. For FRQ 2 and 3, lets be honest, who would study the things questions. I went with 3 and think I managed to write something mediocre/decent, but when I saw the first question, I automatically assumed I'd write the next one. then, I saw the next one and realized I was really going to need to buckle down and think, which I did, and a few facts came back to me.

the MC had more cultural stuff on it than i expected.
but overall the MC was pretty easy. i did 3 &4 for my
essays and it wasnt that bad. for the dbq i put in everything
i could think of in the time frame lol

Yeah I expected a lot more political and economic stuff on the MC. Thankfully my teacher stressed social movements. I think I'm losing my mind, as I usually remember every question of a test afterwards, but I can't recall any of the questions exactly. Or at least a lot of them. Somehow I think there was like nothing on the 20th century on there, but then I think and I'm like- wait, there was nothing on the other centuries either! So I think there must have been tons of stuff on there I just don't remember. There were indeed a lot more questions on books and art and so on than usual, but thankfully I knew that stuff pretty well, there was only one question on the art that I had NO idea about.

It was also my first, and I hated it! I was feeling OK about thinking it was hard because everyone at my school (where almost everyone gets 4s or 5s) thought it was impossible, but now I'm starting to worry because everyone here is saying it was easy.

My teacher always loved teaching the social stuff, so those have always been the questions I've done well on.

I think I did pretty good on the multiple choice, but for the first time I came across multiple questions I just really didn't know. The problem with the AP US is that they can ask you basically anything, and it just depends on how the teacher managed to cover.

Luckily, my APUSH teacher was absolutely wonderful, and I think I did really good on the test. My worst fear is that one of my essays was illegible and was given a 0, but my teacher said my handwriting wasn't THAT bad and they should be able to read it.

see I guess I am friends with all of the smart people, after the test most of them felt confident, I felt like mush, like I was the stupidest person.
The kid that sat closeest to me tried to lighten the mood, he had the sheet of paper that the seals were on & he wrote "I took the AP US History Test & all I got was this dumb sheet of paper" then he took my sheet of paper & wrote "I took this freakin' AP test & they didn't even give us snack.... I want snacks!"
LOL
but still after this test i realized history is NOT for me, i'll stick to being good at math!

how long were your guys' essays? my dbq was super long (like 5-6 pages) and my other ones were kinda short and lacking on examples (like about 3 pages long)... kinda worried :/, and i'm thinkin i missed like 6 for sure MC + 1 i skipped

wow how big do u guys write?? maybe I write small... I thought I did great but only 3 pages on DBQ and 1.5 each for free respose (I spent most time wrting..unlike Euro last year so I thought it was enough if not a lot). Only test I am betting my 5 on.

i thought there was some random stuff on the MC, but that overall it wasn't too difficult. All the books and other culture things tested were in Princeton Review/AMSCO so they weren't too out of left field.

When I first saw the DBQ (I had been expecting Jamestown because of the anniversary) I thought "wow this is annoying," but the documents were really helpful and it turned out I knew enough to write a 4 page DBQ.

I did essays 2 and 4. Two was an easy one to do continuity and change on (more later when we can discuss the questions) and 4 was just testing factual knowledge.

Overall, I didn't think it was too bad. Then again, it's my favorite/strongest class and is taught by my favorite/best teacher.
