What happens if I forgot to write down the test form?
I bubbled it in correctly on the answer sheet though. Do they actually check what you write in pencil?

@BusinessScholar: oh okay that makes sense. I’m averaging about 60-66% on individual practice passages, but when i took an actual practice exam I averaged 70% which was a pretty nice upgrade. I’m hoping with a 70% and good essays maybe I can pull of a 4. Hopefully you get a 5 if you develop your essays nicely. What essay are you dreading the most and which the least?

@0705283: You should be fine. I don’t think they check your writing unless something is wrong with your bubbling. They probably won’t even know. I know for SAT I didn’t fill in a gridded answer one, but I bubbled the right numbers and still got the point. At least your bubbling incident isn’t as bad as my AP calc exam incident. I forgot to put the sticker to seal the complete exam booklet. Hopefully I don’t get invalidated.

To expand on my earlier post about writing in pen, this was my first AP test, and I honestly had not heard anything about the need to use a pen on the DBQ and FRQ’s, so I didn’t bring one. When I read it on the test booklet today, I asked my proctor, who responded by saying that “it doesn’t matter. we don’t have any extra pens anyways. just use a pencil.” I went home to look it up more carefully and am now really worried. I know it seems like they don’t really care, but should I call the CB? I’m not getting a 2 on the test because my proctor told me I could use a pencil.

^
I think what matters is the bubble in part.

Did anyone remember #3 with a picture? I put B for it.

Don’t talk about the questions

^^Block this.

dont talk about the questions dude! College board has eyes everywhere

I wrote about this book in my DBQ, and how it portrayed the first part of the 3 things they asked for. Is this going to get points off because it was published outside of the time frame? I know it wasn’t, and I didn’t make it seem like it was in the essay, but do you guys think that was okay to talk about? Eeek.

@rebeccar: I think you can get away with that one. You definitely won’t lose points if you say how it’s relevant and show that you know it was not published in that time frame it’s just set in that time frame. Maybe you won’t gain points, but you certainly won’t lose points unless you make it seem like you thought it was published in that time frame.

Sorry to repost, but I need some advice on this:

The DBQ was right up my alley. We actually did a unit in English where we read a book (the one that was in MC #1) and a play about the subject.

I also wrote about it, and when I got home looked it up to make sure it was the right time frame. While it was written way after, the setting of the story was based in the same time as the DBQ question.

I thought the DBQ was a breeze to be honest, I was quite relieved! My teacher had gone over it in great deal in class, and it just stuck in my mind for some reason. I was very questionable whether to include that “book” from MC one in my DBQ because it was greatly out of the time period, and was concerned it was way too far-fetched. How did you guys think the MC were? I thought they were much more challenging then the practice (old aps) I had taken in prep for the exam today.

Yup I mentioned that and the subject of which there is a play based.

Oh okay, that’s comforting that other people thought to put it in!

"Yup I mentioned that and the subject of which there is a play based. "
I wrote about this subject, too. Alright, I’m feeling much more confident about the DBQ now. Here’s to good scores for everyone, yaaaay.

Did anyone think the Part B FRQ were challenging? I couldn’t decide which to do, I was actually drawing an entire blank on both questions.

^I think Part C FRQ was more challenging than Part B.

Overall I think the MC wasn’t bad, though it got harder as you progressed through the test. The DBQ was meh, we didn’t really focus on it in class. That said, I think I got a 5.

I thought that was the easiest part!

my thematic (or FRQ as you all like to call it) I chose #2 and it rocked the world the rest of my essays were tolerable

I really should have done #2, I was so stupid! I did #3 and basically just wrote down whatever I could think of,which wasn’t a lot. Hopefully I did well! Thank god for the DBQ

Part b wasn’t too dificult for me, but I had done an essay similar to q 3 a couple of weeks before. Part c was the hardest. I did q 5, but I only knew what to talk about for the first option. I didn’t know how to link it with the third, so I probably got a 2.

You did not get a two! Don’t be hard on yourself. I am sure you did great!!
