APUSH 2010 post exam thoughts

Most first tier schools don’t give credit for 4’s, and on CC, I’d say the majority of people are looking at first tier schools.

What does everyone guestimate the cutoff score for a 5 will be this year?

I’m putting my bet on 117 ish

how badly do you have to do on an esaay/DBQ to get around a 3?

Q($&(%&#($(**#$(!!!

It was 106 last year… do you really think it’ll be an 11 point increase?

It’s also ridiculously easy this year. I thought the cut off would stay around the 110-120 range though.

This is CC, though. I think we should keep that in mind.

…well there goes any chance for a good score.

I honestly didn’t think it was that easy, nor did any of my classmates…

Yay! Easy 5 on the APUSH exam. Good essay topics this year.

And I also had a chance to mention Leave It to Beaver. This will make the readers laugh.

Anyone else think it wasn’t that easy? Or are my classmates and I the only ones?.. :(

My classmates didn’t think it was easy. For me, I was way different from them since I read the American Pageant several times.

I think it realy depends.

IMHO, the DBQ and FRQ weren’t HARD, they were just hit or miss.

Honestly, I slept through the whole course. 4/5 days I would listen for an hour, sleep the next. Only once did I take notes. I either failed the course, or got a D if I’m lucky. I cheated on the packets, every single one. I studied very little and when i did, I studied good. Last night, I tried cramming but was caught up with the orlando magic game. This morning, I wake up. Drive to school, pick up some Dunkin donuts, and read about the mexican war and the 14 points.
The first 13 questions, I annihilated, I was suprised. Every single picture except the newspaper one, I knew. I finished at 70, skipped 15 questions, so I skipped a total of 25. I estimate that I got 35 right and 20 wrong. I destroyed every essay. My best possible guesstimation score is a 94 and lowest is like a 75. I passed the test when I didn’t do a thing throughout the year. If I get a 2, I’ll be mad but still like wow. I had a 1 last year on the euro test.

I had skimmed through the fat AP us history review book before school. It’s an amazing book for help.

Things that I forgot to mention that were extremely important on the FRQ’s include emancipation proclamation, and the immigration acts lmao. I cannot believe I forgot those MAJOR things. But I did add a lot of outside information.

ALso i mentioned that the attack of fort sumpter was in North Carolina, not South. I realized it the moment the test finished.

Um…how much points do you get off if you listed things (for the FRQs) from the wrong time period? I did 3 and 4, and on 4, I wrote about some things that were outside of the set time period GAH

Shouldn’t affect it TO bad. If you were way off and you did it the whole essay than yea, you’re screwed. Like for example, in the number 3 essay I was about to put the monroe doctrine, but the night before I skimmed through that topic and remember it was after the war of 1812. SO I got lucky there.

I wouldn’t use Emancipation Proclamation…

Multiple choice wasn’t as hard as I was expecting and the DBQ made me just about cry because I totally forgot to study that topic until about an hour before the exam. So right after I got out of the shower, I went and studied just the you know what/who/when/why that was covered in 1 so I feel at least a 7 coming my way on that essay

Dam I confused the 18th amendment with the 19th I didn’t really care.

^yea i got scared for a second when I read that and realized that maybe I forgot something that huge too… except now after some thought I’m glad I didn’t put that in there.

stop talking about specifics
