Is it generally difficult to obtain a 5 on the AP test for US History?

The exam is tough, but if you work hard you can get a 5. If you work hard you definately won't be cheated. Getting a 5 on it is not even close to impossible.

Is it true that scoring only 50% of all questions correct (plus essays) is a 4?

The scale changes every year for each AP test. Read the bottom of this:

I know... but is 50% usually a 4? And How hard is it to get a 6 essay?

it depends on ur strengths/weaknesses. i find that it's VERY easy to get a 6 on an FRQ compared to a DBQ just b/c well, i hate DBQs. i think if you address the prompt with solid information, it'd be easy to get a 6. and it also depends on the prompt. if it's hard, well i wouldn't expect as high of an essay score.

i don't know if 50% is usually a 4. i know that to get a 5, the raw multiple choice score begins at 57ish.

My teacher ran some simulations for us last year. If you get 60% of the multiple choice right and don’t even write any essays, you have a 3. It’s not too difficult to get a 5. About 2/5 of my class did, and it was my teacher’s first year teaching the entire class (she had to take over the previous year’s class halfway through).

AP Pass—

It has rough estimate calculations for determining how you’ll do on the exam based on your scores.

I personally did VERY VERY well on the MC and bombed the 2nd/3rd essays and got a 4. The exam’s curve isn’t too harsh. Just know your history lol.

Epic Gravedig much?

APUSH is really easy. Just read Amsco plus the American Pageant and you could get a 5 and an 800 on the SAT II. That’s what I did.
