<p>Please pardon my illiteracy when it comes to these questions since I'm not really familiar with the AP system. I've been taking MYP/ IB my entire high school life, so I'm pretty clueless on how the AP system works. </p>
<p>Anyway, I took USH as a sophomore and consider myself a pretty strong history student also getting an 800 on the SAT 2. I used APUSH studying materials in preparation for the SAT 2 and it seems manageable for the most part. Should I take the AP exam for it in spring? Is it really worth it? What benefits can I get from doing so? And does it look better if I do take it?</p>
<p>Secondly, I'm taking IB Economics SL (only level available at my school) this year and was wondering if this would prepare me for the AP exam as well. I know that IB Econ is more macro orientated, so I would most likely take that if I had to choose. Anyone who took both know how much IB Econ prepares you for the AP exam?</p>
