Our history teacher swears by the Barrons APUSH book, but before he did I had purchased the Kaplan book. Those of you who have taken APUSH, is Barrons indispensable?

i heard barrons is the best, but harshest prep books out there, second is princeton review, thats what ive heard thgouh

also hear that barrons tries to overprepare u in a way, so u will think its easier for the real test

Thanks. Anyone else have experience?

I have Barron's, and if you're looking for tons of sample essays on every chapter, it's for you. But there is only a 1-2 page review of every chapter, and it is very generic. The only specificity in the entire book is the chronology of events in the back. Not very good good for review, but great for practic MC and example essays.

barron's is good for math. it is not good for US history. a lot of the stuff is completely irrvelant, and the practice tests do not well resemble teh real thing.
