I am planning on purchasing prep books for these two subjects in order to prepare for the AP exams in March. I know its a little early but I figure it would help me out in school as well, to get another explanation (different from textbook).

After carful and time-consuming searching of the forums, I have discovered the "best" books according to the majority of posters:

APUSH - REA for detailed explanation, and PR for more general review

I just was wondering...would this book be sufficient:

or should I purchase the newer edition book with CD

AP CHEM - Barrons and PR (again, detailed and then concise)

Also, for the PSAT (it's too late to buy new books), but would a combination of KAPLAN and BARRONS be could for preparation.

I was just making sure that these are the correct books to purchase before I spend the money. Thanks for your help.
