Hello Everybody,

I was wondering what everybody's general consensus on what everybody believes the APUSH DBQ for 2012 may be. I have been lead to believe that possibly Progressivism or Gilded Age might be a popular and potential area to test on... Any ideas? (Keep in mind that current issues correlative with past issues are exactly what these test takers thrive to test on!)

The Gilded Age hasn’t been a DBQ question in eons, apparently. I’ve also heard talk of DBQs pertaining to the Space Race.

A DBQ on the Space Race would be awesome! Btw Mason Russo should be banned from this forum.

Why does everyone think it’s going to be on the Progressive Era? That was one of the thematics in 2010.

The Progressive Era was also the DBQ for the 2003 AP test Form B…so that seems unlikely.

My teacher thinks that it will be on the Mexican-American War seeing as there has never been an essay on that before. Progressivism and the Gilded Age have been recent topics, so if they are essay questions, they will probably be asking about labor unions and the economic impact (which has not been addressed in the past couple of tests either).
