I really don’t get how you’re supposed to argue only one point in your DBQ when the documents given have differing views. The one I’m talking about is “From 1781-1789 the Articles of Confederation provided the US with an effective gov’t, evaluate validity of this statement.” </p>
The documents given either support it or deny this claim. I want to make my thesis statement something like, “In foreign affairs the Articles of Confederation worked great (Louisiana purchase + Transcontinental Treaty), but for internal decision making, it was too weak to govern effectively,” but you’re only supposed to agree or disagree, right?</p>
