Okay, so my school uses the Brinkley text and it is way too long to read (plus very biased!). Basically i havent learned much all year… i found a website(Study Notes - Free AP Notes) and it appears to be a very good site. It’s outlines are based on the american pageant text. I recently just started read/studying their outlines, timelines, and frequent topics from the exam. I don’t really have time or money for that matter to buy crash course or prep books for the exam. For the past several years everyone who has taking the course has made 1’s and 2’s… and i want a four or hopefully five! what can i do to atleast try to acomplish this? i don’t want that $90 to go to waste!

STUDY ASAP. You may think that a month is enough but it really isn’t. 30+ chapters is incredibly overwhelming. A lot of websites such as coursenotes.org is helpful but I’d highly recommend that you purchase a review book. It’s $30 max and you won’t regret it. I’d purchase Kaplan or REA. If you cannot afford one, download the pdf file for AMSCO (you’d have to look it up) and read through sections that you need to refresh on. AMSCO is basically a concise textbook containing only the major points. There’s practice quizzes and exams in AMSCO too plus it’s free. You could also ask your history teacher for practice exams and print out copies for practice. Good luck! I’m taking it as well and I haven’t been studying at all :(

Thanks so much! I totally waited to long to study, but I’m just trying to stay away from 1 and 2 scores. Thanks again!

AMSCO is very good. And Crash Course is great for the very basics, and the facts in there are geared based on past released MC questions, so that helps. My teacher has been terrible this year and I know next to nothing, I just intend on using these 2 materials and seeing what happens. Major cramming start to finish.

Use the Top Ten lists in Essential and the thematic reviews in Crash Course. AMSCO is something like 700 pages long while Essential is far more focused and may be better for cramming
