Did anyone on here take Form B of the APUSH exam? (you can check out the essays here: http://apcentral.collegeboard.com/apc/public/repository/ap11_frq_us_history_formb.pdf).

These essays seem significantly harder than the Form A that most people took. What did you think?

Yeah, if i would have taken the Form B test i would have bombed it. I did rather well on the original.

The only thing I would know for the DBQ was Jackson’s tie to the common man. Otherwise, I would’ve been *****ed. The first essay in part B would have been easy but the rest would have sucked. So relieved I had form A

i might have done better…if i got this test.

…yeah, would’ve failed that. Luckily I’m pretty sure I got a 5 on Form A :)

The FRQs aren’t that bad, namely #3 and #5, but I would have gotten a - on my DBQ.

I hated the FRQs on Form A.

Wait, Form B has already been released? I thought they used that for make-up testers too… What do they use for the make-up testers, then?

The make up test is a completely different test, multiple choice as well as essays. They are pretty secretive about it and never release the makeup tests.

Are they generally harder, or are they usually about the same difficulty? Thanks.

That DBQ is definitely more difficult than Form A.
As for the essays, I think 3 would be solvable and 5 is not that bad at all.

FallenAngel, The make up test is not intentionally more difficult, it is just different. A student of mine who took the make up test last year felt that the DBQ topic was easier for him than the original one would have been and that the FRQs were about the same. It’s just another crap shoot as far as the topics go. You may get lucky, you may not.

All in all the B version was a little harder than the US version. The DBQ asked a very doable question. However, some of the documents would have been difficult to incorporate. Even so, Document H by Davy Crockett was hilarious.
Question 2: Very standard question
Question 3: A little harder - Shays’ Rebellion!
Question 4: TR good but Wilson tough
Question 5: The mirror image of the one we had on African American leaders
I would have done 2 and 5.
