<p>Yes, I'd say that can earn you at least a 7.</p>
<p>FRQs</p>
<h1>3</h1>
<p>Northeast -> industry. Lowell system for emplyment. Steamboat, inventions, railroads connecting factories with the southern raw materials
South -> cotton gin, Mccormick reaper, railroads to sell stuff to other regions</p>
<h1>5</h1>
<p>talked about FDR and Truman. mostly about FDR. I wrote that Democrats garnered votes from poorer, minority classes. Republicans for the big businesses and the rich. I talked about how new deal and fair deal benefited the poor and gave employment to them. Also, the new and fair deal were advantageous to the african americans.</p>
<p>^Aesthetically my essays were reasonably good. Would these facts (I probably crammed in a few more facts apart from the ones mentioned above, but these are my main facts) get me at least a 7 apiece?</p>
<p>why did i chose #2?????????????
I can't belive i said metacomet was an iroquois chief. Who rembers stuff like that anyways?
I hope i can still get a 6-7 :(.</p>
<p>For #2 all i wrote about was john smith and the powahatans in the chesapeake and for new england i wrote about squanto and the farming stuff</p>
<p>Is that enough to do OK?</p>
<p>^ i hope they grade #2 easier cos its the harder topic and i am sure not as many people chose it.
I knoww what they saw that chosing the harder one does not get extra credit, but lets face it, the graders are human and are very subjective.
I hope i hope lol.</p>
<p>azrocks thats what i did...plus mentioned anglo-powhatan wars, bacons rebellion, pequot war, praying towns-specifically 1st one at nantuck(sp?)- missionary-ing, -forgot about squanto wrote about samoset the other guy- 1st reservation in n.e., john rolfe+pocahontas=tobacco, ...i think thats all i said. but yeah.
also did #5.....i wrote 2 paragraphs in crappy handwriting b/c i had v. little time-i wrote 6pg's 4 the dbq!- i mostly mentioned fdr as northerner but also democrat (plus hoover doing crappy job w/ g.d.) got him pres 1st time, then as pres does + socialism-type stuff, repub sp ct. = + opposed and how fdr tried 2 court pack = change 4 dem vs. rep, sp ct (rep) declared wganer act aaa unconst along w/ his ct packing thing......so that fdr was getting poor votes and stuff etc and south's- which is + conserv- party =dem=liberal
then mentioned elxn '48 w/ strom thurmond dixiecrat/states rights vs. truman dem vs. rep whose name i couldnt rmemebr and how it showed that dem -> + liberal changed conserv;s/s's alignment so ended splitting from dem party which let tru win b/c could court + black votes -mentioned philip a randolph here 2- then time was up.....idk how i did b/c i did i crappy job w/ saYing all of it and it was pretty illegible. i didnt even mention elxn '28 b/c i dint know anything about it but i think they wanted u 2 talk abt-i mean it had 2 be the cutoff pt 4 a reason!</p>
<p>Question: For FRQ #4, I did everything for race relations right and included lots of information and analysis, but for politics, i kinda messed up. Do you think that doing really good on just race relations and having good introduction/conclusion will land me at least like a 4/5? I know i kinda messed up on politics but my paragraph on race relations was good. </p>
<p>Thanks.</p>
<p>^???????? (did anyone understand that lol)</p>
<p>IsabelB- i also did 2 + 5 and wrote 6 pgs for the dbq</p>
<p>wahoo go us azrocks! we'll have 2 email each other w/ our scores when we find out!</p>
<p>lol ok, isabelb</p>

<p>Thanks.</p>
<p>U guys can't do dixecrats cos it asked up to WW1.</p>
<p>okay so can someone give me a general scoring guideline for my 3 essays. im still freaking out
dbq: lyndon b. johnson's Great Society was pulled back by the war in vietnam, civil rights movements, mlk's assassination, robert kennedy's assassination, students for a democratic society, betty friedan and NOW, nixon's vietnamization, brief mention of watergate, public cynicism of the government, democratic national convention 1968. (3 + 1/4 pages)
frq choice #3: northeast became more industrial while south remained dependent on plantation life and slaves, no specific inventions mentioned but i did say "inventions," north's economy favored tariffs, south's against high tariffs i related this to the nullification crisis in 1833, erie canal, national road (2 pages)
frq choice #4: had no idea, mentioned briefly black codes and Jim Crow Laws, southern economy still dependent on black laborers, mentioned the muckrakers for a few sentences even though they were in the north (how bad does that kill me?), trust busting (does it even apply) and not much else</p>
<p>if anyone can give me HONEST grading guesses that would be extremely helpful
im so worried especially about the last one because of my errors.
thanks</p>
<p>oh and the questions are online if you dont remember them or wish to relook at them: <a href="http://apcentral.collegeboard.com/apc/public/repository/ap08_us_hist_frq.pdf%5B/url%5D">http://apcentral.collegeboard.com/apc/public/repository/ap08_us_hist_frq.pdf</a></p>
<p>(frq#4 was 2 pages)</p>
<p>yea can anyone please answer my question.</p>
<p>steuydue: AP</a> US History Review Pack Score Predictor & Generator</p>
<p>thanks redwood that helps but im not sure what numbers to put in for my essays (what # score do you think i could get on those essays that i wrote, i mentioned everything i put in my previous post just now)</p>
<p>i would give u dbq - 7, frq1 - 6, frq2 - 5. even though u messed up on muckrackers it doesnt automatically mean a 1 or 2. u did good on the race relations part so u will get points for that. MC is also a big factor so depending on that...u should get a 5.</p>
<p>FOR FRQ #3
I wrote that in the south, the cotton gin made cotton easier, made teh south more dependent on cotton..They depended on exporting cotton to England and on northern manufacturing....their cities did not develop like northern cities because of less trade (idk if thats right)...I also wrote they were agriculatural, dependant on slave labor
For the north, I wrote that they had more factories, and more factories led to more..cities...ahh..um...and cities were linked by railroads..but i didnt mention canals...
I also wrote about the tarrif, and how the tariff hurt the south because it raised prices, and that it made the north happy because it reduced foreign competition...</p>
<p>Could I have scored at least a 7 with that?</p>
<p>For FRQ #4
I mentioned Compromise of 1877 (Hayes being elected in exchange for taking troops out of south), democrats regaining control of government, opressing blacks: plessy v ferguson, Jim Crow Laws, grandfatherclause/polltax/literacy tests...sharecropping system...the "new south" did not come true
Would that have been at least a 7?</p>
<p>I did 2 and 4.
4 was great. haha. I actually wrote an frq like this before the test.
2...not so much. I failed it. :(</p>
