Would Crash Course be a good book to learn APUSH for the ap exam? Any other good review books or websites or notes?
My teacher hasn’t taught us anything yet and I’m really scared of failing. Please help.
I took APUSH my sophomore year (last year), and it was my teacher’s first year of teaching it. She was very passionate about the subject but failed at helping us learn the right material for the exam. She ran out of time near the end of the year and didn’t truly teach us about anything after World War 1. Much to our disadvantage, our exam focused heavily on events after WW1, and only two of us scored 3’s while the other 7 scored 1’s and 2’s. I recommend buying anything and everything, especially if your teacher isn’t really teaching. There’s no way you can “over prepare” for the exam. I bought the Princeton Review book, which I sadly neglected to use until the night before the exam, but it’s a solid buy. I also watched the “Crash Course U.S. History” videos on YouTube, and those were very helpful to summarize important events. Hope this helped!
@mathgeek19 Thank you! I’ll be sure to take a look at those
I’m taking APUSH right now, and my teacher is the same way. Luckily, I actually spent time studying the textbook by myself. I have the princeton review and barrons APUSH review books, and they are really good for the 20th century (which we haven’t covered yet)
My D took apush 3 years ago and had a similar situation of lack of teaching. She relied heavily on crash course and did well. I don’t remember if it was a 4 or a 5. There are also great youtube videos you can search for.
Hey, I took the exam three years ago, as a junior in high school. At first, I read the book, but then I just watched Adam Norris’ videos on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC223Rd7yCfDo9fv6ENdNp9Q. He followed my textbook exactly. I got a 5.
