Does anybody know how I can be aware of the chronology of time in APUSH?
I know that everything took place but I just don't know WHEN or what goes before what.
Please, if anybody knows how I can manage it, it would help immensely. Thanks.

Link things to people or events, and use certain things as anchors for you to approximate time.

Yeah, like use the Civil War, the Gilded Age, WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, etc. as “anchors” since you know about when they all take place. Then connect other concepts to these major events to know about when they took place as well.

Cluster things so you can easily associate things together.

Ex: Gilded Age
-(post Civil War to early 1900s)
-robber barons
-very very wealthy Rockefeller/Carnegie/Mellon/Vanderbilt/Stanford (think of colleges)
-social Darwinism in business (survival of the fittest)
-Boss Tweed
-Sherman Anti-Trust Act
-labor unions (underpaid)
-Populist Party -> Progressive Party
-emergence of temperance movement/women’s rights

You could list a lot more for Gilded Age but you get the point. Just do one for each era and you should be golden when it comes to the DBQ/essay. In addition I’d recommend breaking up women/blacks/labor unions/etc into segments as well.
