I got a 5 on the AP, 730 on the SAT II the day after, and a 99 on my NY state regents the following month.

I found the AP very hard so I am so excited about that, did better than my other APs, but this is the one I was really hoping to do well on, at least a 4, so it was a pleasant surprise. =) I had an AMAZING teacher who really taught us to analyze history in class and held us completely accountable for teaching ourselves the textbook info with multiple quizzes a week... actually read my entire like 1200 page textbook this year.

To those that got a 5, did any of you feel like your essays weren't all that great but that the MC section was fairly easy? I felt like I bombed my essays and I dont want to call in to find out that I got a 2 or 3. The MC section on the other hand I felt I did very well on but scared that my less than amazing essays are going to prevent me from getting a 5.

I got a 5 but I didn't take the SAT II's. Yes, I found the MC pretty easy and I thought my essays were shoddy. However, I may have been too tough on myself.

I got a 4 last year...shoulda got a five, but my mind was on the big lacrosse game that day, haha..division title took precedence over the Progressive era

I suck at all MC questions because I don't deal well with specifics. I LOVED the essay questions on the test. I can usually come up with a good thesis and wrangle some rhetoric and nice phrases into an essay, but ask me for one specific date or name of a Vice-President at a specific time, or whatever, and I am clueless.

Remember to take off 1/4 pts for each mc q you get wrong. Now that I look at it, I probably have absolutely no chance for a 5. Maybe not even a 4. Btw, the range for a 5 is 114-180. I believe the range for a 4 is somewhere from 94-113.

Hmmm...according to this I have a 5. (I am even being harsh with my essays: 5 DBQ and 5 and 5 for the other ones). Is 114+ always a 5? Or does it depend on the year?
