5 on the AP test! 800 on SATII next day! um pretty much shows that history is my best subject

Honestly, I did not pass and I'm shocked. The girl in our class who everyone considers to be "stupid," somehow received a 4. All my friends are telling me they had to have made a mistake on my grade. I thought the MC was alright and my essays were well-written. I don't know what happened. :(

whats off topic considered? Cause I think I wrote off topic about the federal government thing after the civil war.

Well, when I saw "progressives," I immediately began thinking about the successes and reforms during the early 1900s prior to the roaring 20s. I completely overlooked the corruptions during the conservative republican presidencies of Harding and Coolidge, which was basically what the prompt was asking about. Instead, I argued against it by saying that the momentum did not slow down, but rather increased since it was carried over into the 30s under FDR's progressive reponse to the Great Depression. I was worried that this essay would have received a 0 for going off topic due to such a glaring omission, but I guess an overall score of a 5 means that the grader was generous enough to give me some points on all of the peripheral details.

I got a 3 on the AP test because the essays this year were horrible. I mean, a DBQ on women? Is that even important in our American history? I probably got a 3 on that DBQ, but I could've owned any other topic. My SAT II was better though, 710.

4 on the test. It was funny, we were positive that the DBQ wasn't going to be women but the night before we still studied it anyway and luckily we discussed Seneca Falls, and thank you post-Civil War essay on Reconstruction :)

got a five :) and 790 on satii ... granted I studied like a maniac for both

seriously was mentally preparing myself for a 3 or 4 :)

i must have skipped at least twenty questions and did not put a single ounce of practical information in any of my essays, and still pulled off a four.

Lol. I skipped 18. :( I'm scared I didn't get a 5. Did you feel that you got all the questions you answered right sum33th?

I am a sophomore and this was my only ap but i was still extremely proud of myself. I got a 5!!!!!!!!

Can someone explain to me why everyone took the Sat II
It seems like the test is a joke compared with the AP

The only reason the APUSH was harder is that there is a FRQ section. The multiple choice was pretty much on the same level. And besides why wouldn't you want to take the SAT II with the stuff fresh in your mind. It will go favorably in your college app.

Sat II is mainly for college apps. Most colleges require at least 2 sat iis. So it makes sense to take the sat ii if you took the ap.

D got 5 on APUSH and 780 on US History SAT II.

and looking for on the American Gov test. now calc is a different story

Has anyone who wrote essay #5 gotten their scores back yet? Were the 60s and 70s considered off-topic?

I wouldn't call the SATII a joke. Most people I know thought the SATII was harder than the AP mc, because it's more random. I got a 5 on the AP, but I only got a 710 on the SATII.

^Totally Agree.

I wrote about the 60's and 70s and i got a 5 - good luck

My multiple choice were pretty good ( at least I hope so)
DBQ probably a 4-6
FRQ1 probably a 5-7
FRQ2 0-4 (I was totally stressing and wrote about the completely wrong thing)

any hope for a 4?

I think I will wait to see mine when they come in the mail. Can't be too bad though with SAT II 800 in June though
