Apush...

What do you think about APUSH? just curious.

Lots of homework, note-taking, and memorization.

I agree. so much memorization.

its not that bad guys!

remember the most imp advice- your thesis statements for your essays have to be thorough, extensive, exhaustive, and whichever other word youd like to use!
(idk if you guys know this already)

basically, dont just repeat the question and state your point of view. do that, and then say “because…” or “for the reasons…” and list the exact reasons!

make it clear to the reader (who btw has NO time and couldnt care less about your specific essay) what your thesis is. my teacher always used to say- “if you dont have a prominent theory, the reader will not care enough to read the rest scrupulously”. basically, they look for your thesis before they even hear what you have to say. if its bad, no matter how good your arguments are, they will give you a less than favorable grade.

also, for the mc it helps more to know general ideas and trends in history as opposed to specific knowledge (of course, nothing can beat that, but comeon, you cant know everything- no review book or even text book for that matter will tell you everything)

good luck!

APUSH is one of the most notoriously difficult classes available at my School. I’m taking it next year. I’M PUMPED

It’s funnn. I like my teacher and I like the subject of history (although I like World History better). Just do your reading, take notes (I take them on blank paper then I rewrite them onto my notebook) and do study groups!

I had such a great teacher that I found the test easy! Just review, review, review, and oh yeah, review some more!

It’s notoriously difficult at my school as well, and I’m also taking it next year! I can’t say I’m super excited, but I’m up for the challenge!
