Apush.

Obviously I have a while to think it over, but should I take it? I'm currently in AP Euro, and I'm amazing (if I may say so) on essays, not so great on multiple choice. I like history and I have a low A.

At my school, APUSH is linked with H American Lit, which is what I really want to take (it's that or AP English Lang or regular American Lit & regular US history), and you can't take one without the other.

Some people have told me that APUSH is a killer, and some have said that it's easier than APEH.

Advice?

i didn't take AP euro, but i thought APUSH was pretty easy...

APUSH is much easier than Euro. I have taken both the AP tests, and believe me, you'll do well in APUSH is you have a low A in Euro.

You're making all this drama over one class? Ayayayay.

It isn't really difficult per se, but be ready to take way more notes than in AP Euro.

I haven't taken AP Euro, but compared to Ap World, I find it much easier in terms of writing the papers. APUSH is much more fact based than World, which is more broad concepts and cause/effect stuff. I don't know if Euro is like that, but I'm lucky I have a pretty good natural memory for facts. Got a 96 on the semester final.

I took AP Euro last year and I study soooooo much for the test and ended up getting a 4. I thought that AP Euro was a killer however I got a 96 in the class. This year APUSH is 1000000x times easier. There is a lot less material. If you can handle AP Euro, APUSH will be a piece of cake.

1 million times easier than European History. I took Euro and got a 5; I am currently doing US. The advantages of US History:

instead of 600+ years, 400 years.

no keeping track of different political/economic/social themes in each country (no anything about mulitple countries, west Europe, east Europe, blah blah blah)

since much less broad, more fact based

essay questions are mostly answerable easily (in Euro, you get to choose two essays from two sets of three; you kinda have to hope for a good one); but from what I've seen in US, you should know 90% of them

NO STUPID POV ON DBQs!

I took AP euro without reading a page the entire year, got an A in the class and the weekend before I read a review book and got a 5. Ap Us history is turning out to be identical. So I would say they are equal in difficulty

apush is isn't really hard, its just that some teachers like to give out loads of unnecessary work for no reason. oh well, just take it, im sure you'll be fine.
