<p>D is interested in Arabic program for summer. Anyone have any experience with programs in and out of the US?
Would you feel comfortable letting your D do a homestay/intensive language program in Bethlehem (in Middle East)? How is saftey there for US citiznes? Any thoughts? Thanks!</p>

My daughter did SINARC last summer at Lebanese American University (in Beirut). She talked to people doing the slightly longer and much more expensive program at American University in Beirut. She thinks both of these programs are great. We were, of course, relieved when she was home from Beirut safe and sound.</p>
<p>Watch the rules for her passport; you need something that is sort of like, two passports or two sections of your passport if you are, for example, headed to Israel and you’ve been studying in Lebanon or vice versa.</p>
