Can anybody tell me about Arcadia University in Glenside, PA?

There study abroad programs look interesting, but I don't really know much about the school beside that.

Also, just how close it the campus to Philadelphia?

Glenside is a half hour commuter train ride via SEPTA. Note - SEPTA stops running trains usually around midnight - 4 a.m. There are also buses, but the train is easiest. If you have a car, it is an easy ride to Center City.

Study Abroad - many small schools utilize Arcadia as an “approved” program rather than host their own program. This is why Arcadia can tout itself as the largest study abroad program while still having a small student body residing in Glenside.

The website has some good video tours. The Castle is actually much better in person than on the video.

We are in a region with some stellar schools which often results in Arcadia being considered as not the best in the area (remember, we have Swat, Penn and Haverford all close to Arcadia). They are very respected in certain fields - Physical Therapy for example.

You may want to read the student blogs to get an idea of the vibe.
