Archaeology/Spanish Double Major

I really love Spanish(I hope to study abroad in the future.), and I am interested in studying Archaeology. Any ideas about what I could do with these degrees?

Spanish, Archaeology are liberal arts majors. You pretty much have similar opportunities as other persons with liberal arts major, though Spanish language skills might be a plus with some employers who deal with Spanish-speaking customers/clients.

Is your archaeological interest in New World Archaeology?

To enhance employment prospects: If your interest is Latin American Spanish (as opposed to Peninsular), you can broaden your studies by doing a Latin American Studies major. Do anthropology as opposed to archaeology (you an still taker archaeology courses). Maybe pick up Portuguese language, too. Take a sequence of courses in international business or economics or communications or core business fields (accounting, marketing, management, finance).

Grad School: Spanish L&L; Archaeology; Cultural Anthropology; Comparative Lit; History (Spain, Latin America); Linguistics; International Affairs; some areas of Art History; Museum Studies; Medieval Studies; some areas of Religious Studies

Professional School (if you have the right supporting courses): Law, Business, Social Work, Education, Medicine, Public Health, Library Science; etc.
