Architecture and Interior Design

First of all, what exactly is a "minor?" Is it like a associate degree?

Well, if anybody is knowledgeable of this, if I'm studying architecture, will I also be train as an interior designer?

If not, I can minor in interior design while majoring in architecture?

A minor is simply taking a lot of semester hours in one area of study but not enough for it to be your major area of study. Minimum number of semester hours needed for a minor varies somewhat and depends on minor chosen.

Architecture is not interior design and it does not train you for it.

You cannot minor in interior design at UIUC because UIUC does not have interior design.

Really? Oh well.

A correction if you are thinking of design of the interior stricture -- e.g., where to place and size of rooms, heights of ceilings, wall and door structures, size and mechanics of windows -- as that is part of architecture but not a minor for it.

Not really. I'm talking about designing the color texture everything inside a given room.

about what you said, I know that already.
