Architecture in Iowa State

Dose anyone knows about the Architecture program in Iowa State University??
I will like do know about it, include the environment, sources, and classes...
thanks alot...

I don’t know too much about it but it did receive a grant from the AIA to create a practice academy which is a real working studio, partnered with a firm, inside the school. There are only three schools in the country with this as it’s a new idea. I also hear it’s heavy in the technical side and from what I’ve seen, the design side is fair.

As an engineer who goes to Iowa State…I have many friends that are in Architecture and they either love it or hate it. The class sizes are relatively small and the professors are good (From what I hear) The only down side is the the before you can be admitted into the actual Architecture major, you declare yourself pre-design and some of the classes you take as a freshman and sophomore are very difficult and time consuming. They are project orientated where you work in groups. After the first 3-4 semesters it is gets a lot better and more interesting.

that is really helpfull…
how about the sources of the ISU’s architecture?

I have some resources that I will post here later about the ISU architecture program.

ok… waiting for your informations
appreciate…
