Architecture Program Question

I am considering applying to the 5 year architecture program. If I am not accepted to the School of Architecture is my application switched to the College of Arts & Sciences? I do not want to limit my chances of going to the U and I have an extremely competitive GPA and boards which I feel should get me into Arts & Sciences if I applied there directly. Thanks

If architecture isn’t really what you know you want to do, I wouldn’t apply to that school. In order to get into the SoA, you need a portfolio and letters of recommendation about your architectural abilities. I don’t know if the application is moved over to the College of Arts and Sciences, but the SoA basically does its own thing anyway, so I doubt it. The school itself is super tiny. Like, I work in their library and I already know most of the architecture students. I don’t know if it’s because they don’t get applicants or if they’re super selective.

Personally, I’d just apply for a major in the College of Arts and Sciences or as an undecided student.

I would definitely call or email them to make sure. http://arc.miami.edu/contact-us
