Architecture Program

I am a high school senior and I recently applied to Miami's architecture program cross your fingers!!! I visited Miami last year and LOVED it. I even got to meet with the head of the arch. dept. which was a pleasant surprise! I loved the attitude of the program and how encouraging they were to broaden horizons and study other things, also. I have been accepted to UC's program but when I visited there...it was not even close to the same feeling. Is there anyone else on here who is a part of the architecture program at Miami or has applied there?

CShow,
I graduated 100 years ago [not really but it feels like it sometimes]. One of my close friends was in the architecture program and loved it. Good luck and I hope you have as much fun and fulfillment there as I did. There are many fine programs besides, which sets Miami apart from other schools that maybe are known for one particular area.

Again, good luck and with a little luck in our household, my D will be a classmate in a couple years too.

i got my letter yesterday...I'm in! I just hope I can get the finances to back it up. They don't offer much in scholarships beyond the Harrison...I just got what I think is the most you can get outside of Harrison and it's only 2000 a year...yikes (plus the fact that I'm instate and all)

CShow, Congrats!!! Now just make sure you fill out every single Fin Aid form and scholarship application you can get your hands on. Think outside MU too. You can do it.

As I said before, I got into the architecture program. I was worried it would be too pricey, and I was torn between MU and another school with a very different path to a future in architecture. Ultimately, I decided on Miami last week. I visited a couple more times and I also received a ton of scholarship money I didn't even know exsisted, making my college education insanely affordable. I will be going to Miami for something like a fourth of the tuition at UC (the cheapest school I applied to) I'm very excited for next year, thanks for the advice and support!

FANTASTIC!!!

I am so excited for you. Will be driving through on our way to Spring Break Friday (any chance my D gets to be on campus she wants us to take her there-sure hope she gets in in two years!) Maybe we can say "Hi" next Fall when we come down for homecoming.

Have a great trip and good luck with the college process! Now I'll get back to being very excited to start the next step of my life! :)
