Hi everyone
So I recently suffered a mid-application mid-life crisis and decided I might want to change my plans in major from engineering and computer science to architecture. I still love engineering, I just think I might want to expand my options a bit. The problem is that all the courses I’ve taken so far have been engineering and computer science oriented, so I have no portfolio to speak of, and most of the colleges that I’ve seen require portfolios. College applications are due soon and I need help.

Most undergrad architecture schools do not require a portfolio. And the engineering and computer science classes you take in high school although may give you an upperhand when it comes to drafting and what not, they really dont matter. No architecture/ engineering school is going to take you because you have engineering workshop or drawing…
Stop stressing. what schools are you looking at? are they a 5 year B.Arch or 4+2 M.arch
I was in the same boat as you when i graduated high school. It will all work out. Just remember this, architecture is a lifestyle not a career. It is very stressful and you really have to want it to be successful
