Hey I'm trying to apply to the best arch school that I can get in to right now.
My stats are not great , i've got a 3.0 GPA, 1100 on the SAT.
Another question is what do you typically include in your portfolio for admissions besides sketches, portraits etc.
some schools that im considering are:
Pratt Institute (far reach)
California College of the Arts
Any help is appreciated

check out the program at Iowa State

yeah the iowa state program rocks!!........oh and gabbyrenee232115....i'm guessing u will read this soon since u wanna major in architecture....just wanted to say ur the best!!...and that i like u a lot :)

As another reach school, check out Northeastern in Boston (amazing co-op program with top architecture firms and a gorgeous campus).

hmmm... ok Cookie monster.... Ill take that as a very nice compliment... anyways
hey im thinking of applying to Pratt Institute and CCA too! But im having second thoughts about applying to Pratt because i hear that the living conditions there are horrible! For instance, i was reading a disscussion online that former Pratt students posted about the school and they said the place is infested with rats and there is no air condition in the dorm rooms. HMMMM doesnt sound to good! But im simply in love with the CCA campus and i would truly like to attend the school.

I havent looked into Iowa state yet....hmmm maybe i should consider..

Can someone tell me more about Iowa State??? anything is very much appreciated!

I suggest Auburn. Their arch program is supposedly very good. Good football program, too, if you're into that!

Check out Pratt and RISD, Univ. of Cincinnati and Syracuse. They require a good portfolio though, but SAT scores and grades are less important. I should note that they are still important but less so than that of other schools.
