You guys have prob read my other posts about archi schools.. But, which would be some good schools to go for architecture in the east coast?? I want to major in B.Arch

University of Virginia

Ill be transfering from a community college… Moorpark college… What sort of grades do i need to get into a school like that??

Syracuse has a top architecture school, admissions are probably not as rigorous as UVA.

Ok so what kind of grades/gpa/classes do i need to take to get into a school like that

B. Arch is a 5 year degree and I doubt your CC credit will make a dent in that. Think about that first.

But Cornell, Rice, Cooper Union and WashU are some of the schools in architecture at the undergrad level.

I know it wont make a dent in any of those top schools but the reason i went to a cc was because my HS grades werent the best so if i got close to a 4.0 on cc would i have a chance in getting in??

Cornell and Carnegie Mellon would be good choices.

Are you sure about Cornell?? Thats a top school… what sort of gpa would i need to get into it??

Virginia Tech is considered very good. It does not require a portfolio for admission. I don’t know about architecture in particular, but in general it is much less selective than Cornell, and somewhat less so than Carnegie Mellon. The University of Cincinatti also has a top-rated architecture school.

Thanks for all your guys’s help… Is there a part of the forums i can go on where i can determine what types of grades i need to get into Virginia Tech??
