Does anyone know if Columbia considers portfolios for architect majors like Cornell does?

Do you mean for the graduate school of architecture or for undergrad? Because Columbia College doesn’t have an undergrad major in architecture (or journalism, or business, or pre-law, or accounting, etc.) They’re not very big on pre-professionalism.

Columbia does indeed have a very good undergraduate architecture program. It is a jointly-sponsored Columbia-Barnard department: [Barnard + Columbia Architecture](<a href=“Barnard Architecture”>Barnard Architecture).

No portfolio is required but according to the application instructions, a resume highlighting your exposure and experience in architecture is encouraged.

Oh ****, I absolutely stand corrected. Columbia does indeed offer an undergraduate major in architecture! [Architecture | Columbia College](<a href=“Columbia College Bulletin < Columbia College | Columbia University”>Columbia College Bulletin < Columbia College | Columbia University)
