Umm... for you USC is not tough, but even you don;t know that. It depends on the people applying
it changes each year.

bozenuts05, do you mean America Online Instant Messenger?

i applied to HYPPenn and C as well.

USC is sure, and I'meven hoping to get the full tuition. Yeah, I dream a lot, and they come true.

In fact, I'm getting into all the schools i applied to. The financial implications are the bottomline - do I get some cool finaid or scholarship.

yes, i do. Its AIM for short

i've obtained one

where is FLW?

got into Rice for architecture......rankings wise its 2nd (after cornell...im not considering Uni of Cincinnati cause it sucks and is work-study). The best thing about Rice is that its a six year BArch program and in the fifth year, they send you for a preceptorship.

Dang, I thought I was the only one!
Anyway, here are some facts/tips (gleaned from reading architecture mags) that you should know:
- You need to do a 2-3 year residency after college and take a 10 part test before you get your license and little stamp thing.
- Expect to make 50-60k a year, which is a terrible pittance compared to other professions.
- Speak a little Chinese and Spanish because people from these cultures like to renovate their houses.

So what?
A Harvard graduate made 3K a month, what about other schools?
I chose architecture not because I want to be rich, I just don't know why I love architecture even more than myself? That's a miracle!!!!!!!!!

where have you guys applied or where are you applying?

Jrock applied HYPPenn., Cornell, USC etc.
And myself, I am gonna to apply HYP, Cornell, MIT, Cooper Union, Rice, USC, Pratt, RISD and AA...maybe Cambridge.

i wouldnt go to MIT or HYP for architecture if i was you.

are you taking any art courses(or can you draw), because RISD and Pratt are very artsy architecture programmes and require an awesome portfolio with sculpture and other 3D stuff.
what about Yale?
i hear USC is pretty awful.

Any Cooper kids here? I'm hoping to get in since my family can't afford privates and no SUNYs have decent arch programs. What percentage of kids get in?

how good is the UMich's architecture program for undergrad?

Cooper is very very very very competitive. You have to have real talent. It is free after all.

Damn, I have no talent...

Why aren't any of you talking about Syracuse or UC Berkeley?

i got into syracuse....its got a good architecture programme, but the rest of the university isnt that great.

I am a good artist, and a good student academically, there is no doubt that I can meet all the requirements an architecture school or ivies listed, well, whether you can got in depends on your abilities and luck, and I think to get into ivies is just a game of good luck since mostly candidates are as good as you.

It also depends on where people want to be. I do not want to be secluded at Syracuse, and I don't like the atmosphere at Bezerkly.
