Architecture

I have recently considered becoming an architect. I am almost graduating from undergrad (unless I postpone for some reason) and would like to soon begin the application to potential graduate schools involving architectural studies. I was hoping I could have some questions answered about this process. Are there are any classes or types of classes that architecture graduate schools generally expect you to take during undergrad, or is it similar to pre-law in the respect that it doesn't matter? What's the most important part of the application process (e.g. portfolio, grades, GRE?), and approximately how much weight does each part have? What kind of experience do they expect you to have upon applying (simply a portfolio of potential designs? Actual solid work experience?)?

There’s actually a subforum for architecture under College Majors. You’ll probably get more and better answers if you post there.
