How good is Pomona in Architecture? Rank? thanks :)

What kind of question is this?! Their architecture program is SUPERB!
It’s ranked 14th in the nation (last I’ve heard) and only about 100 people get accepted. It’s a very VERY impacted major, so if your scores aren’t good enough (they don’t take ECs into consideration), then you might get waitlisted. Good luck though :D

One of the top three in the country in Sustainable Design if that’s your focus.

I’ll be going there this Fall for Arch!!!

Polyarch,

You’ve made the right choice. Lot’s of energetic, young and cutting edge faculty at the Pomona architecture program. Plus all the exposure to the LA architecture scene. They used to have a good monday night lecture series but I am not sure if it’s fallen victim to the budge cuts. Frank Gehry, Eric Moss, Tom Mayne, and a bunch of international architects have all come by to lecture. You can also go to UCLA, USC and SciArc for their architecture lectures. Have a blast!

Thanks egmontus! I actually got to talk to Dr. Woo who is the headmaster at the College of Environmental Design. He’s a very hip and cool “dude” haha. I’m really looking forward to become a “Bronco”. Cheers.

egmontus, just curious, do you work at Pomona? Im just wondering where you got all the info; you are very supportive of Pomona. :]
