So I'm ordering Kaplan Act in a Box flashcards. How useful would these flashcards be towards my improvement on the ACT? I am generally a flashcard person, but has anyone else out there used ACT flashcards and found them helpful/beneficial?

I read them all.

It has a pretty basic math section, so I’d stay away if shooting for 30+

The vocab part, however, is a pretty decent vocab list to memorize. I need to do that one of these days. :P

The word root part is so much fun with friends! I swear at the end of the year I would shout out something like “Bio-!”, and a bunch of smart guys would compete to find the meaning, we would all laugh and learn about how to use context clues more effectively :)

The science is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!! Skip this section! I kept wanting it to end. It gives you no good advice, and it could actually DECREASE your score by making you expect the wrong kind of questions. The cards act like the ACT science test is a knowledge-based test, which it most certainly isn’t.

The English is basically prep for the SAT writing section (most being identifying sentence structures), which I guess can translate to the english section.

Hope this helps! :)

This is very helpful, but is this the same for all ACT prep flashcards or just the Kaplan flashcards?

Well, I guess just Kaplan since those are the only ones that I have read.
