Are ACT no writing scores valid when applying to colleges?

I took the ACT in March since it was state mandated and, unfortunately, got a 34. I retook it in June and got a 36 (35.5, technically), but I took the no writing version of the exam since I registered too late to be able to take the writing inclusive variant. At this point, I have one ACT with writing and one without, so if I send them both, will colleges consider the no writing one?

Unfortunately, I am pretty sure that the schools that require the writing test will only consider the ACT’s taken with the Writing portion.

If you send both you will be fine.

I would think the colleges would take your higher score (35.5) and the writing portion from the other testing date. Send them both in to schools.

“and, unfortunately, got a 34…”
Laughing so hard at this right now.
