Are all ACT scores treated the same?

The title is probably very confusing. What I mean is, because ACT rounds, will a 30 always be looked at in the same way as another 30, say if one test taker got a composite score that added up to 29.5 while the other one got a test that added up to 30.25. The second student had 3 more points. Will this sill be viewed the same?

Yup, each one should be viewed the same. A 30 is a 30.

A 30––whether 29.5 or 30.25––will be viewed as a 30, but your higher sub-scores may be noticed as well.
