Are all classes the same when calculating UC GPAs? [5 credits vs 10 credit classes]

[CaliforniaColleges.edu - Calculating Your GPA](http://www.californiacolleges.edu/admissions/california-state-university-csu/gpa_calculator.asp)

so the UC GPA calculator only asks for how many A’s B’s C’s D’s F’s, honor classes i took… but do they care how many credits the class is worth when they calculate UC GPAs?

at my high school i have classes that are either everyday or every other day with the everyday classes weighing twice as much onto my GPA rather than the classes i take every other day.
do UC’s do the same when calculating UC GPAs?
or is it that just how my high school calculates the GPA.

The UC gpa uses grades for semester-equivalent classes, with 5 credits being one semester. If your HS transcript only lists one grade for all year, then it counts as 10 credits. The honors/AP/IB bonus point cap (8 max.) is for semesters.
