<p>I would assume that it depends on many things. MIT would rather see Math II than Math I, and it would rather see science subjects than humanities (I believe it actually requires them). Also, it might not look so impressive for a Chinese national to take the SAT Chinese Language test.</p>
<p>For engineering or science major, Math2 and at least one related science subject test would be recommended/required. Sometimes a third subject test in social science, literature, language, or another science subject may help too. Like muaythaiguy said, subject test on your mother tongue foreign language would usually be a waste of time and money.</p>
